Holland America Line offers more sailings to Glacier Bay than any other cruise line. Guests who visit the park on board one of the cruise giant’s seven Alaska ships will enjoy privileged access plus the chance to learn about its unique ecosystem from onboard National Park Service Rangers and naturalists. Under the fun and educational Junior Ranger program, children can embark on a variety of activities and earn a coveted Junior Ranger Badge. To minimize the impact on the park’s ecosystem, no shore excursions or activities are available; instead, guests are invited to gather on deck to observe Glacier Bay’s dramatic scenery and fascinating wildlife from the comfort of a perfectly sized ship. Glacier Bay cruises spend approximately one hour lingering directly in front of at least one of the park’s seven active tidewater glaciers, giving you time to take in the sights and sounds of icebergs breaking off of the glaciers and into the sea in a spectacular display known as “calving.”
Prior to visiting Glacier Bay, walk the ship’s open upper decks to scope out the best glacier-viewing spots. Precipitation is likely, so be sure to pack rain gear as well as thermal layers made from wool or fleece to help keep you warm and dry. And don’t forget your binoculars!

2X Membership Rewards® Points on Cruise Bookings
U.S. Consumer and Business Platinum and Centurion® Card Members enrolled in the Membership Rewards program will receive one (1) additional Membership Rewards® point per dollar spent on eligible cruise bookings. Eligible cruise bookings include new cruise bookings charged directly to your eligible Card through AmexTravel.com or by calling the number on the back of your Card, minus returns and other credits. Any charges on your eligible Card made outside of American Express Travel will not qualify for additional points, including installments or other payments made directly to a cruise line. Airfare and other charges associated with cruise bookings are not eligible for additional points. If cruise bookings are made or modified directly with the cruise provider, the booking will not be eligible for additional points. If the booking is cancelled, the additional points will be deducted from the applicable Membership Rewards account. Any additional points received will be reflected in your Membership Rewards account 10-12 weeks after payment is made. Your eligible Card Account(s) must not be cancelled, past due, or otherwise suspended at the time of fulfillment to receive any additional points.
Merchants are assigned codes based on what they primarily sell. We group certain merchant codes into categories that are eligible for additional points. A purchase with a merchant will not earn additional points if the merchant’s code is not included in an additional points category. You may not receive additional points if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as eligible for an additional points category. For example, you may not receive additional points when: a merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or a merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet.
